This means that any donations made to us can be deducted as a charitable donation on your taxes. Every donation we receive helps us continue to fulfill our mission of helping individuals and families maximize their potential by providing the highest quality therapy delivered by qualified, caring, and highly trained staff.

Creative Counseling Services is one of the few agencies that accepts Medicaid (Title 19) insurance. In fact 70% of our clients utilize Medicaid. Not only is there a shortage of Medicaid services in our area, there is a lack of trained mental health therapists in Iowa. Your support helps us to recruit amazing therapists that provide high quality services to our clients.

Priority Areas:

  • Hire a full time licensed therapist to help meet the needs of our community and our Gap to Growth Program

  • Send staff and students to additional training to meet the needs of clients in our community.

  • Develop a benefits package for employees. To compete with private pay/insurance only agencies we need to be able to offer benefits such as health insurance, PTO, ongoing training, 401K match, etc.

  • Build our Gap to Growth Program

    • At Creative Counseling Services, , our mission is to help individuals and families maximize their potential by providing the highest quality mental health therapy services. Through our Gap to Growth program, we also prepare the next generation of highly qualified clinicians to make a lasting impact in the field of mental health.

    • Since 2023 Gap to Growth has:

      • Provided over 1000 hours of free mental health therapy to individuals and families who might not otherwise have access to care.Since 2023 Gap to Growth has:

      • Supported four masters-level counseling interns, giving them invaluable hands-on experience under the supervision of a therapist with over 20 years of expertise.
